Light Bearers Youth Empowerment Foundation was established with a vision to raise a generation of young people who live with purpose, demonstrate compassionate leadership, and become positive change-makers.
Why We Exist
We believe that every young person carries unique potential. However, many face significant barriers such as limited access to quality mentorship, inadequate life skills, low self-esteem, identity crises, peer pressure, and a lack of platforms to hone their gifts.
Our Foundation exists to bridge this gap by providing structured mentorship, education, ethical leadership development, and emotional guidance. Inspired by Isaiah 60:3, we empower youth to discover their identity, maximize their potential, and illuminate their communities.

Grassroots Commitment & Lived Experience
Joy Omowunmi Sole grew up in Gowon Estate, Egbeda, Lagos—an environment where she witnessed firsthand the harsh realities of youth drug abuse, cultism, and cybercrime. Experiencing the loss of friends to these circumstances strengthened her early resolve to dedicate her life to prevention work and youth guidance.

Teaching & Field Achievements
As Education Officer 1 at Idimu Junior High School (Lagos Teaching Service Commission), Joy has taught over 340 students, facilitated pep talks on Human Trafficking & GBV for 1,000+ students, and organized student counseling sessions on social vices.
